Die Sizilianische Verteidigung ist das Ziel vieler Schachbuchautoren und wenn es darum geht, sie zu vernichten, scheint der Kreativität keine Grenze gesetzt zu sein. Im vorliegendem Buch will der Autor den Offenen Sizilianer auf dem Brett haben und läutet den Kampf mit der klassischen Läufer e2 Variante ein. Überraschenderweise klappt das ganz gut und auf gerade mal 288 Seiten scheint genug Platz zu sein, alle wichtigen Abspiele dem Leser näher zu bringen. Anfangs noch belächelt, muss ich sagen, dass dieses Buch wirkluch gelungen ist. Zwar wird die Sizilianische Eröffnung nicht "abgeschlachtet", wie es der Buchtitel verspricht, aber es wird ein solider und sicherer Weg aufgezeigt, wie man gegen Sizilianisch ordentlich spielen kann. Daumen hoch !
